Real-Time Energetics Analyses

These plots are created once a day, using data from the 12Z AVN analyses. In the future these plots may be updated twice a day. The mean state used in making these plots comes from mean values derived from the ECMWF reanalysis for October-March 1989/90. During this period, there was neither an El Niño nor a La Niña present, similar to conditions today. Soon, the mean will be changed to the period of February-June 1990.
